Estate Information:

Located in Pozoamargo, Cuenca, Casa Gualda produces quality La Mancha D.O. wines. Founded in 1958, the winery's installations employ the latest winemaking technology, with their own ageing cellars and vineyards. The new materials guarantee the greatest hygiene and a total control of the fermentation process as well as respect for the traditional methods of pressing, bottle storage and clarifying with natural elements such as egg whites. The wooden casks used are made of 80% French oak and the average age of the barrels is two years.

Casa Gualda produces primarily grapes: Bobal, Cencibel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Since 1986, the only winery in Pozoamargo is this cooperative. The name derives from the town's patron saint, Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza, celebrated on the last Sunday in April.
